You did everything right. You studied, networked, prayed, worked hard. And yet — the path ahead still feels like it's buried in fog. You can't see where it's going. You're not even sure you're still on the right road.
If that's where you are today, hear this: when the path of your career feels obscured by fog, trust that He is intimately familiar with the route.
God doesn't need you to see the whole map
We want the five-year plan. The clear trajectory. The confirmation that this job, this industry, this city is the right one. But God rarely works that way.
Instead, He illuminates just enough of the trail for your next footfall — ensuring you never have to walk any stretch alone.
"I will bring the blind by a way that they don't know. I will lead them in paths that they don't know. I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. I will do these things, and I will not forsake them."

Read that again. He doesn't say, "I'll give you a detailed roadmap." He says, "I will lead you. I will make the dark places light. I will not forsake you." The promise isn't clarity — it's presence.
What career fog actually teaches us
The uncomfortable truth is that fog has a purpose. When you can't see far ahead, you're forced to:
- Walk closer to the Guide. You can't rely on your own sense of direction when visibility is zero. You have to lean in and listen.
- Take one step at a time. Instead of sprinting toward a goal you chose on your own, you move at God's pace — which is always the right pace.
- Trust that the path exists. Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there. God has already gone ahead of you.
A prayer for the foggy season
If your career feels uncertain right now, try starting your morning with this: "God, I can't see where this is going. But You can. I trust You with this next step — not the whole staircase, just this step."
That's the posture of faith. Not having the answers, but trusting the One who does.
